The spur gear doesn't go on the motor. The pinion gear does. If it doesnt fit tight and doesnt have a screw it wont work. Glue wont hold it in place. Your pinion and spur need to be the same mod pitch. There is 0.3 a d 0.5. And depending on the motor type...various types of pinions.
